Textbooks and iTunes U

In addition, you can include iBooks Textbooks in your iTunes U courses. The free iTunes U app for iPad allows you to create a complete course using all of your digital materials and distribute it to your class.

Ready to buy?

With Apple’s Volume Purchase Programme (VPP), educational establishments in the UK can purchase multiple textbooks at one time from the VPP Education Store and distribute them to students and teachers via unique codes redeemable in the iBooks Store.

Students own the textbooks which are stored in their personal iTunes accounts. Their notes, bookmarks and highlights creating individual copies of the textbook they can refer back to throughout their time at school. For the next class or following year group, schools must purchase new copies of the textbook for incoming students.
